TOGETHER FOR KENMORE
Dear Kenmore Residents,
I have been favorably impressed by the work of our Kenmore City Council, City Managers and staff in recent years and am excited to be running for open Council Position 3. I am committed to the Council remaining progressive, proactive, productive and fiscally prudent on behalf of our community.
My husband and I found Kenmore bicycling along the Burke Gilman trail, driving out to hike in the mountains, attending little kid birthday parties at the old Little Gym and commuting for work between the Sand Point NOAA facility and the Puget Sound Birth Center, Kirkland. When we- two adults, two young kids, two dogs and a cat- found our Kenmore home and moved out of our little rented duplex in Seattle we were asked, “What do you see in this place?” our simultaneous answer was “Potential!”
Twenty years later, our family, community and garden have grown and so has Kenmore! We are pleased to see so much of that potential realized all around us in our diversity, our parks and sidewalk projects, our growing town center, and our climate action plan to name just a few.
It is rewarding to meet with many Kenmore residents of all ages and interests, old-timers and new-comers alike, to gather your thoughts about what matters to each of you and all of us collectively. I am proud to report that your concerns and mine are largely represented in the Kenmore City Council 2023-24 Priorities and in the City’s 20 year comprehensive plan; equitable and affordable housing options, climate crisis mitigation, transportation options, community safety, parks and sidewalks, equity/inclusion, and an expanded walkable town center among others.
If elected I will bring my experience and dedication to building hard-working relationships to ensure that care for our neighbors and our environment now and into the future continues to be considered with every decision the Council makes. I look forward to partnering with all of you to nourish this very special city we call home.
